Ursula Masson Memorial Lecture 2015
We are a Happy Company: The Culture of Women’s Movements in Wales – Neil Evans, Honorary Research Fellow in Welsh history at Cardiff and Bangor universities.
The lecture focuses on the 1913 Welsh participation in the suffrage pilgrimage of 1913, locating that event against a background of women’s use of public space in the Late Victorian and Edwardian eras. This is used as the basis for some thoughts on the nature of participation in women’s movements in the early twentieth century. More information.
